Who are we?

RICARDO ACOSTA NASSAR RA(Costa Rica, 1957). He graduated as Mechanical Engineer (1981) and Electrical Engineer (1983) at the University of Costa Rica. He worked as a university professor at the University of Costa Rica and at the Central American Autonomous University. Theology Professor from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome). He published his professor thesis: “La inculturación en los trabajos de las Conferencias Generales del Episcopado Latinoamericano en Puebla” (1979) y en Santo Domingo (1992) (Inculturation in the works of the General Conferences from the Latin American Episcopate in Puebla (1979) and in St. Domingo (1992). He has specialized in themes related with inculturation of faith in Latin America. He ordained as a priest in Rome (2001) and since then he works as a chaplain in several apostolic works of the Opus Dei Prelature in Costa Rican and Guatemala.


LUIS MARTÍNEZ FERRER LM (Madrid, 1964) History Professor of the Modern Church at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome). Theology Professor from the University of Navarra. Professor in American History from the Complutense University of Madrid. The study of evangelization and the encounter of cultures in the Modern Age are amid his investigation themes. From his publications, the most important monographs are: La Penitencia en la primera evangelizacion de México (Penitence during the first evangelization of Mexico) (1523-1585), Pontifical University, Mexico 1998; “Coisas do outro mundo” – A missão em Roma (Things from another world – A mission in Rome), from António Manuel, Prince of N’Funta, known as “O Negrita” (1604-1608), (in collaboration with M.
